HHS Golf Tomcats

On the golf team, Coach Kavin Carr announced three four-year lettermen: Colton Keen, Ware Lonon and Taylor Dedmon. He also gave the Most Dedicated Award to Seth Mothershead, and Colton Keen received the Sportsmanship Award. The HHS golf Tomcats finished with 11 wins and 1 loss in 9-hole matches this season. The team finished in the Top 3 in the district tournament with Colton Keen finishing in a tie for medalist. In the regional tournament, Haywood defeated both Dyersburg and Obion County from our district and finished 4th overall in the region. Colton Keen advanced to the state tourney as an individual medalist with a 76. In the state tournament, he shot 96 and 94 for a two-day total of 190. Also receiving letters on the team were Trey Lonon, Will Taylor, Houston Cozart, Quentin Halliburton, Drew Baggett, Ross Houghton and Taylor Jones.

Members of the 2009 Haywood High School Golf team are Quentin Halliburton, Colton Keen, Taylor Dedmon, Ware Lonon, Trey Lonon, Ross Houghton, Seth Mothershead, Houston Cozart, Taylor Jones, Drew Baggett and Will Taylor. They are under the direction of Coach Kavin Carr.
