Several members of the 2009 Lady Tomcats soccer
team received special awards. Danielle Elrod and Sabrina Saveh
earned Most Improved Player awards. Karla Cisneros received the
Outstanding Midfielder Award, Katie Hopper the Most Valuable
Player, and Destinee Gage (Juno) the Outstanding Defensive
Player. Samantha Snipes and Courtney Forsythe received
Outstanding Forward Awards. Other team members also received
letters. Head coach is Diane Avery, and assistant coach is
Therly Castro, who received an award from Coach Avery for being
an “Outstanding Assistant Coach.”
