Fairest Hill motivates East Siders


Dr. Fairest Hill

Dr. Fairest Hill, aka “Uncle Fairest,” visited East Side Elementary on Friday, April 21, to encourage the students to “slam dunk” the Terra Nova tests (which they took April 24-27). Dr. Hill is an internationally-known motivational speaker with a powerful message about believing in yourself and overcoming obstacles such as negativity, racism, economics, and low expectations. The students and faculty were “motivated” through music, song, rap, and a PowerPoint presentation.

According to the faculty, throughout Terra Nova Week, the children made many references to some of the things “Uncle Fairest” spoke to them about, and they are still talking about him!
