Haywood Elementary Thanks Community

Haywood Elementary School faculty and staff would like to thank our PTO members, parents and businesses in Brownsville for their contributions during T-CAP and Teacher Appreciation weeks.

PTO officers Dana Barden, Glenda Pettigrew, Leslie Baynes, and Teri Robinson led the Teacher Appreciation efforts.

E. W. James, First South Bank, InSouth Bank, and Burger King each donated to the teachers a breakfast during the week of T-CAP, and we certainly enjoyed it.

Teachers and staff members were also overwhelmed by the support and desserts provided by parents during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Thank you so much for everything you do. You let us know that we are appreciated.

Haywood Elementary winding down for the year 

The first week in May, Haywood Elementary students will enjoy “Yo-yo Day,” Mexican Fiesta Day and a Brownsville-Haywood County Arts Council play at College Hill. The second week in May, the administration and students will celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, and on May 15-16, students will enjoy their annual Field Days. The school’s award programs will be held on May 18.
