Leadership Haywood County visits schools

Thursday, February 12, was Education Day for members of the Leadership Haywood County Class of 2009. The class visited the central office, Sunny Hill Elementary, East Side Elementary, Haywood High School Career and Technical Division and the Academic and Justice Academy as part of their “education” about schools in Haywood County. They ended the day with a discussion with Superintendent Marlon King. The HHS Career and Technical Division culinary arts classes prepared lunch for the group. Leadership members attend 10 classes throughout the chamber of commerce-sponsored program to help them learn about many facets of the community.
