Going Green at Sunny Hill

On Wednesday, March 17, Haywood County Schools is “Going Green” to
celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and the value of green energy.
Sunny Hill has been recycling water bottles all school year as
well as the "pop tops" for St. Jude. Our staff is also recycling
aluminum cans.
Sunny Hill celebrates Black History Month

Sunny Hill students and staff participated at the Black History
program during Black History Month. Ms. Mabone sang for
everyone, and Mr. Bond played his saxophone. Everyone had a
great time.
SH staff honors principals

February was Principal Appreciation Month, so the Sunny Hill staff
honored Ms. Colling and Ms. Humphreys by providing them with a
quiet, stress-free luncheon catered by Backyard Barbecue. They
also received a token of our appreciation.
Fun Night was fun!

Sunny Hill had Fun Night on February 19. The students who had good
conduct and
made A’s, B’s, and C’s for the first semester of school got to
attend. The students enjoyed face painting, Bingo, cake walk,
inflatables, dancing, group pictures and concessions. We all had
a great time!
Sunny Hill expresses School Board Appreciation

Sunny Hill had a luncheon for the school board members. David
Letterman has the Top 10 on the Tonight Show, so we had Sunny
Hill’s Top 10 duties of a school board member. The students read
a funny version and a serious version. All of the “Top 10s” were
submitted by the students.
