Sunny Hill students participate in Pumpkin
Project

Mrs. Anna Roberts’ math classes at Sunny Hill
participated in a National Project Pumpkin Activity. The
students were asked to estimate the weight, circumference, and
number of seeds in the three pumpkins placed on their table. The
students then weighed, measured circumference, and dug out and
counted the number of seeds in each pumpkin. Each student was
asked to record their estimations and exact measurements. This
data was then registered on
www.theteacherscorner.net. Schools from all over the United
States participated in this activity, and the local classes were
able to compare their results with the other schools.
