Haywood County Schools participate in Relay for Life event

Haywood County Schools once again this year participated in the local American Cancer Society Relay for Life event, with booths and various fundraisers. Lots of students also dropped by to see their teachers and administrators.
 

INSOUTH Bank treats local teachers

Representatives from INSOUTH Bank made the rounds in early May to all the county’s schools delivering a “sweet treat” for all the teachers, in honor of Teacher Appreciation Month. The teachers and administrators at Anderson, Haywood Elementary, East Side, Sunny Hill, Haywood Junior High, Haywood High, the Alternative Learning Center and at the Central office enjoyed delicious carrot cakes, baked just for the wonderful job they do. The teachers say, “Thank you, INSOUTH!” Delivering the cakes from INSOUTH were Alan Callery, JoAnne Finn, Tim Stokely and Brenda Lee.
